London life work was made in 2011, it records daily life, living in a terraced street in Kilburn accepting this was where life was going to be for the long term. There was to be no move to Australia. The perfume bottles refer to self caring, whilst jugs represent giving and caring for others. The white feather represents giving up expectations and hopes of emotional connection in a faiing personal relationship. Looking to myself.

The work is hollow and built from double walled sheets of clay. It is decorated using a paper resist technique with a limited colur palette range of engobes. A black wash is applied at the biscuit firing stage. Symbolic objects in the windows are drawn with ceramic pencil and have a transparent glaze covering.
