gallery > bikes- click on image                 Cycling related work records a new found mechanical interest in the push-bike which, became important in generating personal income when bike riding became a passion. Riding a bike for transport had the added advantage of counteracting the carbon footprint of firing kilns as does running a local community bicycle project on the weekend, provided interesting metal parts that generate ideas for new work. The work combines recycled metal objects and ceramics, drawn and painted with ceramic colour.   © Josie Warshaw
